US introduce 100Mbps to 85% of homes by 2020 target
The UK while having come a long way politically at least with respect to broadband services, has not set any target as clear or forward looking as that of the FCC in the United States. 100Mbps, while almost state of the art in 2010, will be what people desire in 2020, in the same way as people are finding dial-up is almost unworkable, ten years after the introduction of broadband.
