Free Satellite Navigation for iPhone
Not sure if it's of any interest to anyone here but as of yesterday there is [another] free sat nav application for the iPhone.
NavMii has the disctinction from other free offerings though in two ways: No advertising Maps downloaded in their entirety to your phone, so no data coverage needed (often patchy when you drive) and no costs to worry about. Apparently the plan is to generate revenue from eventually charging for real time traffic and safety camera alerts. I gave it a whirl (I have both a TomTom 920 standalone unit and CoPilot 8 on my iPhone) and I'd say it gives them both a run for their money. And nope - I am in no way associated with the guys that produce it ![]()

Re: Free Satellite Navigation for iPhone
Sorry guys - it appears that if you search for NavMii, it takes you to their paid-for version.
Although by the same company and with the same logo's etc, you need to search the appstore for NavFree
