Google public DNS

I realise some of the guys here use OpenDNS's free DNS servers.

I also realise there is generally some distrust with Google.

But they (Google) have started their own public, free, DNS service.

The servers are 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4

They don't filter anything, which I believe OpenDNS do on their free service(?) which may or may not be a good thing, depending on your point of view.

However I prefer not to filter at a DNS level - see my earlier posting on here about the free Bluecoat K9 product.
