No online game connectivity...

PC online games no longer able to connect to servers...

Games in question are:

Shattered Horizon and Alien Versus Predator.

Shattered Horizon was connecting to multiplayer servers no problem since christmas.

Over the past few days the game is no longer able to find servers... It just says "searching..."

It's not a windows problem because I have MULTIPLE installations of windows and the game can't find servers on any of my windows.

I have 3 x installations of windows 7 64 and I know the installations are fine. The problem is down to some change on the network/ISP...

I have the Thomson Wireless Box II (the white one)..

Software Release: 7.4.20.3

I called o2 helpline and was told there had been a recent change at o2. No longer using BE...

Also told there had been a recent firmware update for the router...

As I have stated, I know it's not windows issue since I have tried 3 x installs and it's not software firewall since I've tried with and without...

I even downloaded steam & Shattered Horizon on a recent install of windows 7. Same result... No game servers found.

I don't know if the problem only extends to STEAM games... I will install a non steam game later and see if i can connect to online servers...

Seems the problem was steam master servers related...

Replaced the master servers file and the online connectivity is back.

Not an o2 modem problem after all.

Still not working.

Perhaps router blocking after all.

Try turning it off for about 10 seconds and turn it on again. If it still does not work, try turning off the computer for a little while..

I do rather hope after 10 months that this problem isn't current!
