Short guide to the II box can be found here (III box is essentially the same I believe other than the "n" capability):

The O2 Wireless Box II guide

Re: O2 / Be difference in service to Sky based on stats

Well, today was the day of the switch over. I am now on O2 broadband and the stats are below. I am worried about the level of errors though, but am guessing I cannot help this?

Uptime: 0 days, 1:00:05
DSL Type: G.992.5 annex A
Bandwidth (Up/Down) [kbps/kbps]: 1,230 / 8,396
Data Transferred (Sent/Received) [MB/MB]: 5.06 / 24.33
Output Power (Up/Down) [dBm]: 12.0 / 18.5
Line Attenuation (Up/Down) [dB]: 26.0 / 44.5
SN Margin (Up/Down) [dB]: 6.5 / 8.0
Vendor ID (Local/Remote): TMMB / BDCM
Loss of Framing (Local/Remote): 0 / 0
Loss of Signal (Local/Remote): 0 / 0
Loss of Power (Local/Remote): 0 / 0
Loss of Link (Remote): 0
Error Seconds (Local/Remote): 0 / 0
FEC Errors (Up/Down): 49 / 46,369
CRC Errors (Up/Down): 49 / 80
HEC Errors (Up/Down): 390 / 53

The FEC errors are spurious and seem to be "held" by the DSLAM. The HEC errors are often single bit and so can be corrected (so no problem provided they're not massive) and your CRC errors aren't that bad.

Worry not

Re: O2 / Be difference in service to Sky based on stats

I had 9.3 when I first connected but then rebooted the router lol.

Well the errors now stand as follows;

Uptime: 0 days, 2:21:36
DSL Type: G.992.5 annex A
Bandwidth (Up/Down) [kbps/kbps]: 1,230 / 8,396
Data Transferred (Sent/Received) [MB/MB]: 15.12 / 90.83
Output Power (Up/Down) [dBm]: 12.0 / 18.5
Line Attenuation (Up/Down) [dB]: 26.0 / 44.5
SN Margin (Up/Down) [dB]: 6.0 / 8.0
Vendor ID (Local/Remote): TMMB / BDCM
Loss of Framing (Local/Remote): 0 / 0
Loss of Signal (Local/Remote): 0 / 0
Loss of Power (Local/Remote): 0 / 0
Loss of Link (Remote): 0
Error Seconds (Local/Remote): 0 / 0
FEC Errors (Up/Down): 77 / 86,940
CRC Errors (Up/Down): 77 / 149
HEC Errors (Up/Down): 399 / 100

There's really no problem there. You've no loss of framing/signal and your errored seconds are zero.

Relax and enjoy the lower pings (ping bbc.co.uk not speedtest.net), extra couple of meg downstream and the doubling of the upstream you had on Sky
