Open DNS
I'd like to switch the Primary and Secondary DNS on my O2 Wireless Box II to OpenDNS, but I can't find any way to get it to allow any changes to these items.
Can anyone tell me if it's possible to override these values? Even the SuperUser account doesn't seem to have the authority to change them. |

Re: Open DNS
I leave them well alone even though I can change them on my router.
I stick them into my PC and Xbox as those settings override the router anyways and if open DNS goes down I can just go back to the default ISP settings. |

Re: Open DNS
Hi,
Why use OpenDNS? - isn't it slower than using O2'? Thanks, Ian |

Re: Open DNS
OpenDNS has massive DNS server farms and is generally faster, more up to date and more reliable than O2's (or any other ISPs). There is however a theoretical security risk in using another parties DNS.
