MAC validity checker
If you're thinking of moving ISPs, you'll need your MAC code from your current provider.
Sometimes errors can be made, particularly when the code is being read out over the phone, or if the typeface/font isn't clear. To help avoid errors, here's a MAC validity checker you can use: ADSL24 - MAC Validity Checker |

Re: MAC validity checker
This proved a godsend when trying to get my MAC code out of Sky today!
What a set of utterly useless muppets Sky are! Glad to be finally shut of them! ![]() Unsurprisingly the MAC code they gave me was invalid when I checked it with this checker. The guy at Sky said it would take yet another 2 or 3 days to correct the error and couldn't help any further and said I had to ring them as they wouldn't call me with the correct code. ![]() I played about with the checker until I found the valid code and used it to place my order for O2. |

Re: MAC validity checker
Unfortunately, that link is dead now.
Zen gave me the wrong MAC, but it appears to have been a simple "Oh" turned into a "Zero"
