o2 activated
im finally up and running.no worries,just plugged my router in and all sorted.just been having a look round the router.changed my password and went in to superuser.trying to familiarise myself with it all![]() not sure how to get my syats but ive done a speed test and its double what i had with sky and pinging the bbc i got 19-20ms .i read the security is set on wep and wpa is best???how do i change it? ![]() |

Your line will undergo repeated line tests for up to 2 weeks (O2 version of DLM) and so you may get a bit more speed but it's important not to unplug the router too much while this is going on as it could be seend as a disconnect.
I think everybody has seen a lot lower ping than Sky, I get 15-20 ms to the BBC and I think it's due to the better placed infrastructure that Be/O2 have over Sky. |

what about security?is it right the router is on wep and if it is,can i change it to wpa???

The "unable to contact server" messages refer to an O2 time server (tells the router what time it is). I think there's been an intermittent problem for a couple of weeks now. Nothing to worry about though and it will have no affect on your connection.
