Re: are my stats any good
Hard to say - could be a router glitch or could be something O2 did, or lots of things really. Did you notice a service interruption?

During the first couple of days its completly normal for this to happen, if it does happend after your recieve your text or email to say they have complete the testing then call them up.

I doubt it'd be your router firewall as this [generally] only protects LAN-WAN (i.e. internall on your network to external on t' interweb) connections. Some AV/Firewall combo's don't uninstall cleanly - take a job I was doing for a guy recently (you know those things you agree to when you're drunk, and realise next day what a bad idea it was?). Anyway, long anecdote short, the guy has a medium sized company, employing around 400 staff. He'd bought some really obscure mail system that only support IMAP and that held all email in individual files...since they receive between 20,000 and 40,000 mails a day they're quite a heavy user of mail and this system simply could not cope. He had told me that they'd had a virus outbreak. He didn't tell me that his entire server farm was effectively trashed and I spent an entire day of troubleshooting his domain controller (he'd originally had 4 but was down to one very, very poorly dc). The DC wouldn't allow inbound connections and since it was Windows 2000 there was no native firewall. What they had had though was Symantec AV with an integrated firewall. I didn't know this until late in the day and after downloading the Symantec product removal tool the server sprang into life (sort of - it was still too poorly to recover, but that's a story for another day). So...in a nutshell although you've uninstalled Norton, it might be worthwhile checking their site to see if they have a product uninstaller - it's amazing how many integrated products just don't come out of the IP stack cleanly and it's simply bad/lazy programming. Not sure which OS you're using either, but if it's Vista (or Windows 7) then you really need to go into the advanced firewall - I'm not an advocate of disabling it permanently, but there are three profiles with Vista - public, private and domain. ![]() ![]() I suspect you're not on a domain, but disable them all anyway for testing. If it cures it, then you know you're in the ballpark and can re-enable them one at a time until it stops working at which point you can then try to find the relevant rule that's blocking the streaming, but if not then re-enable them all. One point I've made before is that O2 boxes don't seem to be ideal for gaming / streaming and I would take the advice offered here and use a reflashed Sky router - they do just seem to work.
