Re: unzip??

If you download the dg teams file its an .IMG file no need to unzip, just d/l file and goto update bit in router and tell it where file is, it will do the rest,
as for zipped files this is just a way off compacting files to make them smaller, zipped to pack unzip to unpack basically, you can get lots of programes to do this most popular are Winzip, Winrar, 7-zip they are free to try, but kinda have unlimited use 7zip is free, google and u will receive

Re: unzip??

Not forgetting of course, that if you have Windows XP or above it has a built in zipper/unzipper (granted it can fall over with some file types, but it does generally work ok for simple .zip archives).

By the way, you'll find this one of the nicest forums on the web...I've yet to see anyone flamed for asking what they considered to be a "noob" question.

Welcome to the forum and we'll all do our best to assist.

You'll find instructions on how to flash the router on Skyuser but not the O2 settings.

Try these links:

JJClements.co.uk Sky Router DG834GT Unlock

and then here:

How to use your own router with O2 Broadband

As Tony has said, you should find no trouble unzipping files if you have XP or above as support is built in. If you want to read about zip files then try here:
