To the best of my knowledge you can't change the SuperUser account easily.

However, you can recreate it. If you take a look at my post here: WAN Telnet access and user updates for ST780WL it talks you through clearing all of the users and recreating them.

im thinking its a firmware thing as i was ableto chnage it with ease, the offical 02 forums state most new wirless box's are coming with a firmware that most of us dont have yet

To be fair, my router is the 'business' one which I believe is different to the 'home' one.

From day one, for me, the SuperUser account never worked. Mind you, the configuration CD failed as well - at the point where it was supposedly writing the settings to the router, so I came to the conclusion (i.e. I guessed) that there may have been changes made to passwords on the one that I got...but maybe not.

I posted the info in my link above because I need Telnet access to my router and to set it up required elevated rights over the administrator account...hence the clearing of all user info on it etc.

On the whole, I'm not one for tinkering with my DSL - reliability is far more important to me than out and out performance.

Of course, both would be perfect but given the choice...
