Re: Wireless Box II

mines on FW 7.4.20.4 but some people on the o2 forums are saying they have got 7.4.20.5,it was on the box when they got it and theres no link to get it.you can ring customer services and ask them to send you the latest FW.
about a week ago some people were reporting thier box had updated itself to .5 fw.
just noticed your using a netgear in your sig so how come you need o2 box??from what i read the netgears better...user friendly

Re: Wireless Box II

I've been using my own Netgear, flashed with DGteams custom fw, however after noticing a few quirks i resorted to a newer official fw from Netgear to test it out, however i couldnt get connected (straight away anyway)

I think because DGteams fw allowed me to spoof the mac address of my wireless box it connects straight away, the official doesnt have this 'feature' so i guess it will take half hour or so to connect.

Couldnt wait so slammed the Wireless box in

Re: Wireless Box II

Which version of the Netgear firmware are you using? Mine certainly allows you to specify a different MAC (it's the last option on the basic settings page). Seems odd this wouldn't be available on the 834n.

Re: Wireless Box II

Sorry Saturday had to plug it all back in to double check, its definitely not an option and the firmware is 1.02.15

Doesnt matter if i use opendns as dns servers does it, as it wouldnt connect again.

Might have to connect it back up before bed and leave it on all night.

No, doesn't matter which DNS servers are used.
