Potential New customer

Like many others recently I'm considering ditching Sky BB and joining you guys on O2. What's the cheapest means of becoming an O2 customer in order to qualify for the customer discount on O2 broadband?

O2 Broadband - Home broadband made better
Quote:
Pay & Go Customers
If you're on O2 Pay & Go, we'll give you the discount straight away on your first bill. To keep getting your broadband at this price, you need to:

* make sure your mobile works and that it can make and receive calls
* top up at least £10 in the three months before your broadband bill date. Your broadband bill date is three days before you get your bill. So if your bill comes on the 4th, your bill date's the 1st. We'll send you a reminder a few days before if you haven't topped up enough.

If you don't top up in time, you won't get your discount for that month. But you can still get a discount for the next month.

To check how much you've topped up over the last three months, text 'topup' to 61202 from your mobile. It's free.

Re: Potential New customer

O2 is only £7.34 per month if you have an O2 mobile or you can get a free O2 sim card here http://www.freesim.o2.co.uk or from many other places and top it up by £10 per quarter to qualify for the broadband discount. (Every £10 topup = £11 of calls).

You can get £50 cashback through Quidco or TopCashBack at the moment (this may change up or down come August 1st).

O2 are also currently offering the first 2 months free (worth another £14.68) if you sign up by 31st July.

That's only £63.40 net (or £5.28 per month!) for 12 months unlimited up to 8Mb broadband and that also includes £44.00 worth of mobile calls!

Therefore the O2 Standard Home Broadband package (up to 8MB with unlimited downloads) actually only costs £19.40 net for the whole of the first year or £1.62 per month!

Welcome to the club and the forums.

I have to say that having gone through Nildram, Pipex, Sky and now O2 that O2 are head and shoulders above anything I've previously had both in terms of performance and customer services.

I recommend them to anyone that asks.
