Linksys WAG354G router with Home Access

Hello,

I've recently bought o2 home broadband access as my exchange does not support ADSL2 yet.

Everything is working fine with the O2 Wireless box but i cannot get my Linksys WAG354G to work at all with the connection.

Here is an image of the router settings page. Could somebody please tell me if i have the wrong settings in there because i cant for the life of me figure it out.

Thank you all in advance.

Hello and welcome.

No screen shot attached...

Might I suggest, too, that before you do attach it, you edit it with MSPaint and blur anything that might be sensitive? Assuming, of course, that you haven't already done so?

Reviving this as I have exactly the same issue with an AG241 - has it been resolved? O2 weren't much help, red light for internet, it can see the DSL connection though.

I've definitely put the login information in correctly, took it from o2 and in the source of the original router. Do you remember if you changed the routers MAC address? Thanks for replying though, now that I know it can be fixed I'll persist!

Re: Linksys WAG354G router with Home Access

If your O2 router connects fine then it sounds like an authentication issue with the AG241 if you have a DSL connection but no internet.

O2's authentication servers only "remember" two MAC addresses (each router has a unique MAC), so if you try to connect a third it won't authenticate immediately - if left connected for half an hour or so the new MAC address replaces one of the previous ones and it will then authenticate.

Not saying this is the issue here but it might be worth reconnecting the router then leaving it for a while to see if it then authenticates.

Otherwise it's going to be an incorrect username (radius name)/password (radius password) that's been entered. Give O2 another call and make sure they've given you the right credentials and that you've recorded them correctly (not swapped say a 1 for an l, or an o for an 0 for example).

Full settings for Home Access are as follows:

Home Access settings

These are the IP Stream settings you will need to enter into the router:

* Username: Radius Name

* Password: Radius Password

Your radius username and password will have been sent to you when you joined.

* IP Address: Get automatically from ISP

* DNS (Domain Name Server): Get automatically from ISP

* NAT (Network Address Translation): On

* VPI: 0

* VCI: 38

* MTU Size: 1492

* Multiplexing Method: VC Based

* Encapsulation: PPPoA (PPP over ATM)

* DSL Modulation: G.DMT (Optional)

* Security Type: CHAPS

* Does Internet Connection Require Login: Yes

* QoS: UBR (Optional)

Primary DNS Server: 87.194.255.154
Secondary DNS Server: Leave blank
