Unhappy O2 wireless box ii goes to sleep

Hi

Im having this real irritating problem with the wireless ii box.
I have logged into the box as SuperUser and changed some of the setting i.e. gateways (the actual wireless box) IP address, and the address range being used for DHCP.
I have 2 devices attached to wireless box via cable and I use my laptop to connect wirelessly. All devices have been assigned hard coded IP addresses and I have configured port forwarding for the cable attached devices. Everything seems to work ok.

The problem im having is that after some idle time I lose connectivity to my cabled up devices, I mean, I cant access them in the way I should be able to nor can I ping them. I try to the log into the wireless box to see if the devices are actually attached, but I can’t even http to the wireless box yet I can browes the internet without a problem.

Once I turn-off/turn-on the wireless box, everything jumps back to life and its all working.
I come back from work and try accessing my devices and its back to square 1, I have to bounce the box again.

Am I going crazy or is there something wrong with my wireless ii box.

Can someone please help

Re: O2 wireless box ii goes to sleep

I'm noticing similar issues with my O2 router, seems to be doing more at night time. Rang the O2 customer care yesterday, he tried to connect to my router to try and change the firmware but to no avail. Finally he is sending me a replacement router, expecting it this week.
One thing they suggested was trying to use the O2 recovery tool which is on the disc that comes with the router and that should correct any problems in firmware but mine did not work so he just agreed to replace the router.
Hope yours gets sorted soon.
