Re: Full stats
don't worry, found them...and it seems I've a bit of an upstream SNR issue...possibly downstream too
Uptime: 0 days, 0:09:08 DSL Type: G.992.5 annex A Bandwidth (Up/Down) [kbps/kbps]: 1,295 / 8,187 Data Transferred (Sent/Received) [kB/kB]: 0.00 / 0.00 Output Power (Up/Down) [dBm]: 12.0 / 19.0 Line Attenuation (Up/Down) [dB]: 16.0 / 30.0 SN Margin (Up/Down) [dB]: 6.0 / 9.0 Vendor ID (Local/Remote): TMMB / BDCM Loss of Framing (Local/Remote): 0 / 0 Loss of Signal (Local/Remote): 0 / 0 Loss of Power (Local/Remote): 0 / 0 Loss of Link (Remote): 0 Error Seconds (Local/Remote): 0 / 0 FEC Errors (Up/Down): 0 / 329 CRC Errors (Up/Down): 0 / 0 HEC Errors (Up/Down): 35 / 0 I'm only on O2's 8Mbps service, and yes these are off an extension (got an NTE2000 to fit once I can find a screwdriver) but just wondering if anyone can give it a look... |

Re: Full stats
With your attenuation on the 8meg service you'd expect a much higher downstream noise margin i.e. you've a pretty noisy line/home wiring.
That said, you're syncing at the max for your package and have 3db noise margin in hand so no problems really. |

Re: Full stats
in the master the downstream SNR is 13dB so I know the line is ok - it's the extension currently in use bringing it down...
having said that, I did notice the upstream SNR being the same as it is...is this normal as I get 1.3Mbps upload?? not used to seeing an upstream SNR low but I assume it's fine?!?! |

Re: Full stats
6db is the target SNR for O2, so yes your stats are fine.

Re: Full stats
Thanks for that, the router will be back in the master soon on an NTE2000...only reason it's on a crap extension is so that until I actually move in the missus can use the BB connection...
O2 have been spot on so far, even so far to say I can stream Sky Sports live at full resolution over wireless with no buffering... |
