Re: How are my stats?

How it compares to what?

The sync speed you get is down to two factors: attenuation (essentially line length) and line quality. The latter includes everything from the exchange to the router so home wiring can play a big part. The test socket bypasses the home wiring so tells you the best speed the BT line is supporting.

So, what would be interesting would be a comparison between your "normal" connection and your test socket. Any difference would be down to your home wiring.

From your stats your attenuation would normally support ~7.5meg with a relatively quiet/good quality line. You're getting ~5.5meg so that points to a noise problem. Assuming that you have used the test socket (that's the one hidden inside the master) and you've not connected anything else other than the router with a filter and the supplied cable, then your BT line is a little noisy. Unfortunately, unless it is interfering with your voice calls, it will be very hard or expensive to get BT to improve this.
