router help netgear dg834gt or o2 ?

Hi i have moved from sky to o2. Hopefully will be activated in next 48 hours. I need help/advise as to which router i should use? My sky router is the original white netgear dg834gt. Any help from people who have moved or are experienced will be appreciated. Also if i need to use the netgear router then is this a straightforward job. perhaps there is a link to show step by step guide for a novice? Also please advise if i need to use the o2 cd? i was thinking otherwise.

No need to run the CD, especially if you don't want that rubbish Mcafee installing.

Just plug in and go, although you may want to update the security of the wireless connection and router login.

There is a link somewhere on here that gives you the correct settings for other routers but the O2 one isn't that bad, I'd suggest you see how you get on with that first.
