Re: Teamspeak problems

to see if it is an internet thing try using Ventrilio and see if it is still happening.

Teamspeak is getting very old now and is showing it's age, our clan dropped it after too many of us were getting strange errors and moved over to ventrilio.

Re: Teamspeak problems

If others can hear you fine but you can't hear them properly then that probably points to a problem their end i.e. their upstream speed/quality isn't very good - or down to the application.

Try this speedtest which checks other things than just the straightforward down/up speed. In particular, pay attention to the graphs shown once the test is complete: if the regularity is good or better than good then your connection should be fine for any VOIP type use.

Do bear in mind though that a speedtest is just an indication and can be influenced by things outside of your or O2's control.

Re: Teamspeak problems

they could be using the wrong codec, TS is full of people who don't know what one to use and it could take a while with somebody on the other end saying yes or no.

Sounds like that to me man,
I have ran a few Ts servers both from my house and from a server,
Unless you set the codec up right you get that sort of issue,

See :
TeamSpeak - FAQ

Hope you get it sorted soon man,
Ps if you are running Ts from the house and this is not passworded it mite be a good thing to look at getting a anti flood mod,

Pearl mod is ok and easy to set up :
Planet TeamSpeak - Downloads - (All Platforms) TS2PerlMod GNU/GPL-Edition 0.9.19

Regards
Steven
