Happened upon this site by accident this week- have been trying to work out why my download speed (~ 4MBit/s) was so low compared with the O2 sync speed (just under 12MBit/s).
I'd already improved D/L by about 1-1.5MB by detaching the ring wires from the master socket to get to 4MB, but was scratching around in the dark until I happened upon the help guides. I'm now running 8-9 Mb, the issue - XP !! I ran the free utility inSSIDer & wow what a result, big thanks to all.
