O2's network seems well set up for ADSL2+ so (unlike some other ISPs e.g. Sky) it is usually the best for all line conditions.

If you wanted you could call O2 and ask if they could try G.DMT for you (you'll need to get through to their 2nd level tech) and see if that gives you a better sync. If it does I suspect it will be marginal and probably not worth the effort. But who knows. Though don't hassle them if you're only just connected - wait for their DLM to finish.

Your attenuation is the limiting factor here and at 55db, 4500kbps is about the maximum you could hope for. You're very close to that so I suspect you're getting near enough the best you can get.
