i've tried the sister site of speedtest, pingtest and my packet loss has failed?
on the learn more button, it says this Quote:

In a previous post (which you've not responded to) I pointed out that your connection was poor - probably line noise. I suspect that may be the cause of the packet loss you are seeing and in turn, that is probably why your connection seems slow.
EDIT: scrub that. I've just noticed that in the graphic you posted it says "unable to test packet loss" even though the ping test was OK. Looking at their learn more button I see you quoted "what is packet loss" but didn't quote (or see?) what was written above this: Why was I unable to run the packet loss test?The comments about your line noise problem stand though. thanks for the reply Saturday,
i do have an adsl nation faceplate that i'm going to attempt to fit and run a network cables to my main PC & HTPC which will cut out the extension sockets, which is probably causing me these wee problems |

is test is from the master socket, still not good

It's nothing to do with what socket you're connected to. As I said before, it's either a problem with the test itself or your PC/router configuration (if Java is OK then it's probably a firewall issue).
I've just run the test myself and got the same result and frankly can't be bothered to find out why - the test is worthless in any event. If you want to test ping and packet loss please use the utility provided by Microsoft which will give a meaningful result. If you're not sure how do the following:
