Help required flashing router

I have Sky modem router (black/grey/ Netgear) which I want to flash but not sure what version it is. When I open 192.168.0.1 it claims to be verison V2-02-44.

I have obtained settings for it to work with O2 but don't known how to change them. Tried flashing using Netgear UpgradeWizard.exe but it does not find Mac address (box is empty). Also, which version of firmware do I need.

Thanks and Regards

Re: Help required flashing router

You have the V2 Netgear which I believe is known as a DG934 but is in fact an 834 V3 in non standard configuration or firmware.

Because it's a bodged up Sky/Netgear it's not at all straightforward to flash. Have a look on the Skyuser forum for info, maybe using this thread as a guide.

In any event, you'll need to use a PC with XP or lower as the Netgear flash utility doesn't work reliably with Vista or W7.

Re: Help required flashing router

Thanks. Having suffered 48 hours without Internet (never knew how much hard work keeping children entertianed is without Internet) and O2 suggested I used sky router as back up.
