DSL Type: G.992.5 annex A Vs DSL Type: G.992.3 annex A
i was connected to 02 on Monday 29th March and my DSL stats were -:
Uptime: 0 days, 13:24:18 DSL Type: G.992.5 annex A Bandwidth (Up/Down) [kbps/kbps]: 1,209 / 5,530 Data Transferred (Sent/Received) [kB/kB]: 0.00 / 0.00 Output Power (Up/Down) [dBm]: 12.0 / 19.0 Line Attenuation (Up/Down) [dB]: 27.5 / 49.0 SN Margin (Up/Down) [dB]: 6.5 / 3.5 Vendor ID (Local/Remote): TMMB / BDCM Loss of Framing (Local/Remote): 0 / 0 Loss of Signal (Local/Remote): 0 / 0 Loss of Power (Local/Remote): 0 / 0 Loss of Link (Remote): 0 Error Seconds (Local/Remote): 0 / 0 FEC Errors (Up/Down): 991 / 4,104,365 CRC Errors (Up/Down): 991 / 40 HEC Errors (Up/Down): 325 / 25 I have restarted my router and now the DSL information says Uptime: 0 days, 0:01:55 DSL Type: G.992.3 annex A Bandwidth (Up/Down) [kbps/kbps]: 1,187 / 6,313 Data Transferred (Sent/Received) [kB/kB]: 0.00 / 0.00 Output Power (Up/Down) [dBm]: 12.0 / 19.0 Line Attenuation (Up/Down) [dB]: 27.0 / 45.5 SN Margin (Up/Down) [dB]: 6.5 / 6.5 Vendor ID (Local/Remote): TMMB / BDCM Loss of Framing (Local/Remote): 0 / 0 Loss of Signal (Local/Remote): 0 / 0 Loss of Power (Local/Remote): 0 / 0 Loss of Link (Remote): 0 Error Seconds (Local/Remote): 0 / 0 FEC Errors (Up/Down): 0 / 50 CRC Errors (Up/Down): 0 / 0 HEC Errors (Up/Down): 11 / 0 The DSL type has changed and alot of people is saying i am on ADSL2 and not ADSL2+...i spoke to 02 CS and they advised i was on ADSL2+ but they didnt know what i was on about regarding the DSL type... can anyone help? |

In the first set you are on ADSL2+ (G.992.5) and in the second on ADSL2 (G.992.3).
As your line isn't particularly noise free, as evidenced by your stats, your router decided when you rebooted that ADSL2 would give you a better connection at that time - which it did i.e. you're set to ADSL2+ by O2 but your router preferred ADSL2 so changed mode. Reboot your router and there's every change it will choose ADSL2+ this time. You've only been connected a couple of days and O2 will still be running DLM. This could also be a factor. |

As I said before:
If it doesn't, don't worry about it. With your line length there's no advantage to ADSL2+. |
