My stats, can I improve?

This is while I am using my Test Socket. I have had issues since I joined O2 last year. Thinking of leaving and going with BT when my contract finishes. |

Hi zee,
Yes, you do seem to have trouble with your internet connection, your stats show that you could achieve something around 15Mb. This would leave you recieving around 12-13Mb download speeds. Have you tried changing your microfilter, and your grey DSL cable? If you have, and there has been no improvement, you should call o2 on 0800 230 0202 as you may have a faulty o2 box, or a problem with your telephone line. They will be able to run some tests from their end, and might be able to pick up any faults on your telephone line. If you have not tried replacing your filter/dsl cable, then could you please do each of these in turn and then post your stats after replacing each piece of equipment? (i.e. change filter, post stats, change dsl cable, post stats). This should help us here on the forum to diagnose your problem. Thanks for your help Sam, I contacted O2 about 4 months ago and they sent me out some filters which I plugged into all my extensions including my master socket where I have my router plugged in but it didnt really help.
I think there might be a problem with my Master Socket becase when I am using my test socket all the extensions (4 of them!) work. I have taken a pic of my master socket with the faceplate off in case you can see if the wiring is the problem. |
