Cannot Access O2 Websites
Hi all,
for the past month or so I have not been able to load the o2 website as well as the o2 forum. i have been able to get around this by restarting the router but that only works for a few minutes. in addition mail (email client on mac) cannot retreive my o2 emails. this happens on both safari and firefox. i have tried clearing the browser cache with no success. anyone know why this is happening? best regards, hammy |

Re: Cannot Access O2 Websites
Having the exact same problem, reboot and it works for maybe an hour or so....strangely enough I live in Catford too. Every other site I use (except hotfile.com) is fine.
Good to see you're using O2 router as I can rule that out now, I'm using a sky netgear router. |

Re: Cannot Access O2 Websites
Thanks for letting me know the router is not the problem. I was going to flash the old sky router later today. Hopefully one of the @O2 guys will see this post and help us out.

Re: Cannot Access O2 Websites
::. Kitz - Flashing the Sky DG834GT router .::
this might help you flash your old sky router if you dont know how to. Here are the settings you will need. * ISP name: O2 Home Broadband * Multiplexing method: LLC-Based * VPI: 0 * VCI: 101 * Username: leave blank * Password: leave blank * Domain name: leave blank * IP address type: this depends on whether you chose our static IP address option or not: * - If you didn’t choose O2's static IP address option, set this to dynamic IP * - If you did choose O2's static IP address, enter the IP address printed in your welcome letter * DNS servers: choose to get these dynamically from the Internet provider * NAT: enable

Re: Cannot Access O2 Websites
Hi – I also live in Catford and I have also been unable to connect to O2 websites or log into my O2 account for more than a month. The problem seems to have started after O2 made some updates to the software for the router. Before that time, I could connect to all the O2 sites, but I lost internet connection frequently on any site I visited – sometimes 15 or more times a day. The software update has fixed this, and I no longer lose connection, but it seems to have caused no connection to O2 sites. On another forum (see link below) it is suggested that clearing the Cache of the router should solve the problem, and I have switched it on and off which I assume does this, but still no joy. If anyone has solved it please post.

Re: Cannot Access O2 Websites
What's the point of the O2 guys being here if they won't even acknowledge problems??
Come on guys - show your faces!

Re: Cannot Access O2 Websites
samjay switching the router on / off doesnt clear the cache.
Use a pin and press the reset button on the rear of the router that should do the job. |

Re: Cannot Access O2 Websites
Hi Samjay,
Our O2 website was down for maintenance yesterday, this was a planned outage for updating our new package changes effectively. Can you please try once again and if you’re still having issues, please feel free to give me a shout! I’m sorry for any inconvenience it may have caused. Abs |

Re: Cannot Access O2 Websites
Thanks Stu UK and Abhishek@o2 for your responses. Tried it today without resetting router and it now works after more than a month.
Cheers! |
