New Pricing for o2
I see o2 have now changed their prices for having o2 broadband.
The Basics - For everyday surfing and email - 20GB a month - £8 with an o2 Phone or £13 without The All Rounder - Music and TV over the internet - Unlimited (fair usage policy) - £12 with an o2 Phone or £17 without The Works - Best for movies & online gaming. - Unlimited (fair usage policy) - £20 with an o2 Phone or £25 without So those of us who were on the old £7.50 a month package have just lost the ability to have unlimited downloads, if I remember correctly as to what I signed up to originally? So, apart from (in my experience) the dreadful customer service, (in my experience) no replacement router, (in my experience) the fact that you cannot use o2 broadband without using your own router, what exactly is it that makes it worth while staying with o2 broadband now?

Re: New Pricing for o2
Im still on the old £7.50 contract which expires end of Sept 2010.
I havent been contacted to tell me my payment or contract are about to be changed so maybe its for new customers only??? Its still cheaper then sky and in my experience 02 are still way better then sky. |

Re: New Pricing for o2
Hi there,
When your exiting contract ends, you’ll have the option of resigning your contract and will be given the option of selecting among the new packages. But if you choose not to resign your contract, your package will remain unchanged and you’ll not be affected with the new prices which are only for the new packages. Hope it clarifies! Abs |

Re: New Pricing for o2
In addition to Starman's question about usage I also wanted to check existing customers won't have traffic management applied to them?

Re: New Pricing for o2
Out of interest, should there be some kind of communication from O2 when your contract is up for renewal?
I'll be coming to the end of my second year in November and didn't hear pip from O2 when it was up for renewal and I'm considering my options this time round. Quote:

Our retentions team may contact our customers when their contract is about to expire. However I'd suggest you check your contract expiry date via the online portal account or give CS a quick call for discussing the options at the time of your contract expiry. Abs |

Re: New Pricing for o2
At the time of renewal? Didn't realise the business tariff was tied into more than the first year. Since my renewal was last November, I suspect I'm free to move as and when I want to?
