Re: Administrator userid not working

‘Administrator’ (with a capital A) is the username. The password is the serial number which can be found on a label on the underside of the router.

Re: Administrator userid not working

Wonder if you have been sent old stock (old firmware).

Try Administrator and no password (just hit enter)

Re: Administrator userid not working

The same thing has been happening to me sine they upgraded the software for Wireless Box II a couple of months ago. I can get directly into the configuration section without a password (I have it saved as a bookmark in my browser), but if I try to change anything it asks for password etc and then does not accept it.

Re: Administrator userid not working

I've just signed up with O2 and was able to connect fine using the O2 CD. I've been able to change the password from the default bottom-of-the-router one, so no problems there. However, I simply can not get into the router itself. No matter what I try it simply comes back with "invalid credentials".
I've tried SuperUser, Administrator, my network name, the network password, the router password on the bottom... everything spelled correctly, capitals correct.
I've reset the box using the reset button on the back (got the red power light after 7 seconds as the manual says), gone right through the CD setup again in case there is a default userid specified (I didn't see one) and now I'm all out of ideas.
Anyone think of anything else? What userid and password is it looking for exactly?
Thanks...

Re: Administrator userid not working

I don't believe it...
I thought I'd better add my router details to my profile to help with advice, and I spotted a sticker on the bottom in tiny print saying "Your userid is Administrator and your password is hdfhfhfhfhhf".
And it works...
Duh...
Sorry for wasting time - I hope this may help others who get as frustrated as I was...
