Re: Connected Today :)
The nature of the Access product is that it is never going to perform as well as their LLU products.
![]() My own dealings with O2 (both as a customer and in a professional capacity) give me some confidence that there will be some improvement for those customers in very congested exchanges. They really are determined to be the best ISP in the UK - and in my book they're doing pretty well so far. Rumour has it that they will continue to add more LLU exchanges through 2009, unlike Sky and some others, which would be good news if true. I hope you and dazzler are able to get their LLU service sometime soon. I get pings sub 17ms, a 14meg sync and no noticeable slow down in peak times - all for under £10 a month ![]() |

Re: Connected Today :)
O2 Home Access (BT IPStream) uses a fairly complex DLM process constantly running on your connection. If your downstream noise margin is consistently 10-12db then it has set that in reaction to a problem (line noise) that it has detected. Remove the problem and your noise margin will drop and your sync will rise, followed 3 days later by a rise in your throughput speed.

Re: Connected Today :)
Samknows.com will give you some info but the only ones who will know for sure is O2.
When you signed up, if you could only have Access they'd have told you then - they won't sell you one thing then give you another. Or am I misunderstanding you? ![]() |
