Hi all finally connected today from Sky been counting down the days alls well, and even got BB speeds after 6pm gosh i am blessed
![]() Only quibble i've got is i'm not hot on the router in particular the gui but ive tried all the settings on here to configure my own Netgear DG834n and it wont have it, anyone got any tips, does it take so long for the two to 'talk' to each other. Ive tried Login-no Acc - blank Domain - blank IP Address - Auto DNS - Auto (althought would like to use opendns if poss) NAT - Enable Multiple - LLC VPI - 0 VCI - 101 And even spoofed the Mac Address |

Re: Connected Today :)
May have spoke too soon, the routers not that bad, thought i'd have a nightmare reconnecting everything, had everything on static ip's including two laptops, iphone, ps3, xbox etc.
But it all went smooth just changed SSID and key the same as netgear and Unp worked so no dramas with the consoles Would be helpful for future if anyone can answer the first post though ![]() Oh and ive logged into the O2 Wireless II box as SuperUser but cant locate the stats where are these located. thanking you |

Can you confirm which package you're on (your profile doesn't say)? Quote:

Re: Connected Today :)
There you go.
![]() Actually, I think they send the username/password to Home Access customers with the welcome pack. If not then a quick call to O2 will get them for you. Also, I've updated our "using your own router" tutorial with the full Home Access settings. Pleased to hear your speeds are OK in the evening. Are you seeing any drop at all? As Home Access is using the BT network, I'd guess so. BTW, looks like you've updated your O2User profile incorrectly (Standard rather than Access). Last edited by Saturday; 09-02-09 at 08:30 PM.. |

Re: Connected Today :)
How do you guys find O2 compared to sky? I was thinking of changing over as Im not happy with the forced price hike.
I have a mac but sky have messed up and cancelled, Im told I dont have sky bb now and was disconnected at 1210pm today...its still working, so not sure how I get to O2 at the moment.. |

Re: Connected Today :)
For me its like Sky in the good old days, cant complain but early days.
I also talked to an O2 rep today, and it was quite pleasurable compared to well i'm guessing you know the answer to that one. As for your current treatment doesnt sound right to me you use your mac code or it lapses and you stay with $ky @Saturday noted re details and speedwise i'll know more when its settled i presume dlm is in progress but everything works now, before iphone youtube nope, playstation psn nope all good now, and thats after Sky adamantly telling me it was my setup, even though after the witching hour everything worked again. Re: Connected Today :)
RAMBo (IPstream's rate adaptive process) tends not to play nicely with trying to manipulate the sync via the router, but some have reported success.
Not sure you'll need to do that though. You're syncing at 2720kbps with a high noise margin of 12db. With luck, if your wiring is as good as you can get it, after the initial training you'll get close to the 4250kbps that your attenuation can theoretically support ![]() |
