You are correct, what I meant was that I was definately not on ADSL2+ with Sky. I wrongly assumed this meant ADSL2. My education courtesy of this site continues, thanks again.

That's to be expected. Resync in the morning (low line noise time) and you'll get a higher sync than resyncing in the evening (higher line noise time).
What you'll also see is that your noise margin will start to decrease later in the day as evening approaches, probably down to something like 4.5db. If you resynced then, the noise margin would re-establish itself at 6db but with a consequential loss in sync speed. All explained in this tutorial - see the last para. |
