That could be a bit tricky as your master socket is owned by BT and there are significant penalties if you're caught changing it - replacing the faceplate is fine.
If you don't have an NTE5 master socket your two choices are to remove the old master and fit a new (not advised as above) or fit a new NTE5 in series to your old socket. Otherwise you'll have to ask BT to replace it. If it's faulty then there will be no charge. If it's not then it will cost you >£100. Unless of course you find a friendly engineer in which case a "drink" should do it. |

Well, sounds like I haven't really haven't got an option but to stick with the one I got ![]() Personally, it would be nice if BT could replace the old with the new for free, which is next to impossible as nothing comes free nowadays ![]() Thanks anyway |
