Using 2nd hand iPhone
I had a SE W995 with data deal.
Just got a used 3GS off eBay. O2 texted me to say I'm not on data tariff, then their website says I won't be able to use all the functionality (such as Visual Voicemail and Call Merging) of the phone without changing tariff. I'm not bothered about VV, and I don't know what call merging is. But is this really true or are they just trying to persuade me to sign up for a more expensive tariff? |

Re: Using 2nd hand iPhone
I have just moved two of my accounts from BlackBerry handsets to iPhone 3GS and had to have the BlackBerry bolt on changed to an iPhone bolt on - I was personally informed that this was because the data tariffs are different.
What I did notice, until the actual changeover took place, was that I could make and receive calls and set up my email accounts because I was on WiFi, but the moment I moved out of range of the WiFi, I lost all data services. In a nutshell, I suspect you're being told pretty much the truth. I think you'll enjoy the iPhone - compared to the original 1st gen that I tried, the 3GS is head and shoulders above it in performance and features.
