Don't think there's a missing post - if there is, I don't know what it was or where it could have gone.

Interesting that they could push the update out to you despite your efforts to stop it by removing their accounts. Not too surprising though I suppose.

I suspect they're taking a similar route to Sky in having a "polling" function in the firmware looking for updates on a regular basis and applying them when found.

Hmmm...odd...must be my memory playing up It's my age, you see...when I was a lad...

Anyhoo...I can see why they'd do it and it's good to see them react positively to the potential threat...it's just a bit frustrating that they made the change at just the same time when I am physically away from the router and wanted to update some rules.

And actually...because of where I hide my router, getting to it to get the serial is going to be a right pita. :/

Give them a call - they may/should have the serial number in their system.

Good call, though as it happens it's not a change I need to make urgently.

And as soon as I get the time (!!!) I still intend to bin the firewall on it and use a Linux based FW.

But it's the time I never seem to have lately.
