O2 re-signup deal

My dad has just been offered 3 months free if he signed up for another 12 month contract term, O2 just phoned him up and offered it.

I am now a bit miffed as we haven't been contacted with any retention offer, the only thing I can think of that he's on PAYG and we're on contract phones.

Anybody else get this?

The 3 months free offer is available to new customers at the minute, so thats probably why he got offered it. And in most cases, you have to ask to get any deal! Looks like your dad was an exception.

that's the point he's not a new customer he's been on O2 since last December, they phoned him up out of the blue and offered this retention deal.
