I don't know why, maybe O2 don't advertise it very well but quite a few O2 mobile customers haven't heard of O2 Treats.

If you have been a mobile customer for 6 months or more (PAYG or contract) you're probably eligible.

O2 Treats

All you have to do is call 2211 from your O2 mobile to see if you're eligible. If you are you'll be offered a choice of treats to choose from. These range from extra minutes a month to extra texts - all free
