O2 are currently emailing selected contract mobile customers with a great offer - free broadband for a year!

From the email:

Free O2 Home Broadband standard package subscription offer is personal to the addressee of this email, is non-transferable and subject to availability.

Available only when taken by calling 0800 954 1412 and quoting code 02MBWELCOME. One promotional connection per eligible O2 Mobile number. New customers only. O2 reserves the right to amend or withdraw this offer without further notice.

Free O2 Home Broadband standard package will continue for 12 months after which standard subscription rates will automatically be charged. Offer ends 31 December 2008 and customers must activate by that date.

So, you'll see in the first paragraph that only those sent the email are eligible. However, that doesn't seem to always be the case. A number of people who haven't (yet?) got the email have called the above number, quoted the code and got the deal. Others haven't.

Might be worth a call if you're an O2 mobile customer on contract. Maybe you'll get lucky.
