Just ordered o2 Standard

Should i of got premium?

After checking
Code:
http://www2.farina1.com/adsl/
with my current connection stats of:

sync: 5568mbps
attenuation: 41db
noise: 6db

it guesstimates i could get upto 11000Kbps on ADSL2+, but with o2 only estimating my line at 6000mbps, i didn't see the point in ordering upto 20 service

Re: Just ordered o2 Standard

ADSL speed is limited by line length (attenuation) and line quality (noise level).

Whilst your attenuation would theoretically support 10-11meg, that would be dependent on having a quiet line including your home wiring. Your current sync suggests you have a fairly noisy connection.

If you have a test socket (hidden inside the master socket), try a connection with that and post the new stats. We can then advise you on what steps you can take to improve your connection.

If things can be improved sufficiently to warrant going to Premium, you can then get your package changed ahead of connection or O2 will ask you a few days post connection if you'd like to change.
