Re: Feedback
stu, do you have IE set to clear out your private data when you close it?
Check by clicking Tools -> Internet Options and on the general tab, about half way down, there's a tick box for deleting history on exit. I think that if you have that selected the default is to delete all history. If you then click on Safety, and Delete Browsing History you get a dialog up that has cookies as an option that is ticked...try clearing it and then logging onto the site with remember me ticked. Sign off, close IE, launch IE and see if it has remembered your login...

Re: Feedback
No I didnt have it ticked.
But when I noticed I started getting this as I do with a few sites, cleared all my temp files gistory and cookies thinking it was a duff chache file or cookie and it still happens. I assume its just one of the many bugs with IE8. |

Re: Feedback
Hi News et al.
I've noticed a quirk of this website lately (one I don't remember seeing before). If I browse to the forums in FireFox, and I'm in full screen it all renders fine. But if I am not in full screen, there is a huge expanse of white space between the blue banner with the search bar and the postings - maximise and it disappears. Re-size back down and it reappears. It's weird more than anything.

Re: Feedback
Thanks for letting us know Tony - we'll take a look and see if it can be fixed.

Re: Feedback
Hi Tony,
It is a quirk of the actual forum skin, it's to do with the left hand menus system. There is no real way around this unfortunately as even the coder couldn't sort it. The other skin we were going to use, o2 asked us not to as the 'blue' could be confused for an official o2 site. The only real way you can resolve this locally is to make the minimised / reduced window just slightly wider so it goes back to normal.

Re: Feedback
Thanks mate - I don't mind it, I just wanted to let you know it was happening.
The first time I noticed it, there was a moment of "eh? where's it all gone?" but beyond that it's no major headache.
