SkyUser - How to get your Router Stats (non Sky Broadband Customers)

 

The following details how to access your router/modem stats to find your 'download attenuation figure' so that you can estimate the speed you could 'potentially' get with Sky by using our speedchecker.

You may need your router login/password which you should have with your routers documentation.  Alternatively it may be on a sticker on the bottom of your router.  If you cannot find your routers login/password, the standard combinations are: admin/admin, admin/password.  If that doesn't work, then please check the support page on the routers manufacturers website, or alternatively post on the forum and we may be able to help.

3. Run 'Diagnostics'

4. Right Click the icon in your system tray
5. Click advanced 
6. Click "Write log to disk"

7. Use Internet Explorer to open the log file

8. Look for the following details:

The receive figures are the download and the send are the upload

5. Some extra tabs should now appear that show the advanced information.
6. Click the Advanced Button.

4. While this screen is visible, on your keyboard hold down the "‘Alt" key and then press the letter "d".
